Volunteer With Us!
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and, without them, we could never achieve the incredible results that we do. Our amazing volunteers share their time and talent helping us pick up and deliver furniture, assist in our warehouse, provide administrative support, serve on one of our committees or the board – and so much more!
We know and research shows that our work impacts the people we provide essential furniture to by helping them feel safe and comfortable in their homes. Our work also often has a profound impact on our volunteers. To get involved, click the link below!

There are many ways to make a difference.
Help out in our warehouse or by picking up/delivering furniture: If you’re looking for physical activity, you can help us pick up furniture from donors, store it in our warehouse or deliver furniture to our clients. You might be working with others to carry furniture out of/into buildings, load our truck, stock our showroom, maintain the warehouse or make small furniture repairs.
Drive our vehicles: We have a 16-foot box truck and cargo van that are on the road constantly picking up and delivering furniture. In addition to maneuvering the streets of downtown Portland, you might be asked to help load/unload furniture onto the truck.
Join one of our committees: We always need help with fundraising, marketing and event planning and would welcome assistance reaching out to sponsors, setting up for events, creating mailings, writing thank you notes and developing social media content.
Fundraising, marketing & events: May include outreach to sponsors, event set-up, mailing assistance, writing thank-you notes, and working on social media content.
Provide administrative support: There is so much important work that goes on behind the scenes. If you are interested in helping with scheduling over the phone/email, assist with our database, processing mailings or translating materials, be sure to let us know.
