Who is eligible to receive furniture?
We partner with local social service providers to identify individuals and families in need within the Greater Portland area which includes Scarborough, South Portland, Gorham and Falmouth. Providers can begin referring their clients. Do not register yourself to receive furniture.
How do the clients get their furniture?
For the quickest service, clients can pick it up at our warehouse. The case manager will still need to register the client on this website and then Furniture Friends’ operations personnel will contact your client to set up an assessment appointment. We will leave an informational card with the client directing the client and/or their case manager to call Furniture Friends’ staff to set up an appointment for picking up their furniture. If a client chooses to wait for delivery, based on historical service response times, they may wait up to 3 months for delivery.
